In the past two decades, an elevator industry cluster has come into shape in Foho economic development zone, Wujiang district Suzhou. There are 27 manufactures produce elevator and lift and more than 150 parts manufactures in Wujiang district. The output accounts for 25% of total output of domestic brands in elevator industry, with a total value of out-put of 5.5 billion yuan and a total profits and taxes of 498 million yuan. In 2012, the gross export value of elevator reaches USD 8.5 million in Wujiang.
